Responsible conduct of research

It has come to my attention that it is a requirement that there is formal
training for all NSF-supported researchers to complete responsible conduct
of research training. I have reviewed the materials, and we cover much of
the content during our discussions in group meeting and as we prepare
manuscripts, etc.

For graduate students you have completed this formal requirement by taking
Mark’s research ethics course, CH608.

Undergraduates and postdocs are supposed to have the training also. Since
none of our current undergraduates or postdocs are supported directly by
NSF, our group is currently in compliance.

However, as the module doesn’t take much time, I now ask that all postdocs
and undergraduate students doing research please complete the following
online training module (it took me ~ 1 h):
